Cardiac tests underway...
Chris, Nancy, and Beckyboo...thank you for your answers and prayers and warm fuzzies. I am actually following doctor's orders this time. I tend to "treat/heal thyself" after researching a situation. NOT THIS TIME..lol I am going to keep my membership at the gym...heck, riding a bike in a room full of other "losers" is quite cool and I get to spend time with my daughter, even if she is jogging away on a treadmill or with my husband while he is pumping iron...ohhhhlala. I am very happy with my medical team at Kaiser and I am too old to play games with my health....so, doctor's orders will guide me fer sure!! I had not taken any Omeprazole (Prilosec) since the first week post-op, but I'll take it along with the aspirin just cuz its probably wisest. I use enteric coated aspirin, but I haven't heard that the coating is safe alone....extra caution won't hurt. I just get so frustrated with the "take this" before meals, after meals, with food, on an empty stomach...aruuuuuughhhhhhhh. I prefer NOT thinking..lol
Becky..a call would be lovely...be sure you are comfy and rested.....tootsies on a footstool and an iced tea in hand..lol Heck..thats what I'll be doing..lol
Actually, I am in the midst of (still) decluttering my house, ...Saints save me!!...will I ever be done!!?? (My kids threaten to call Clean House!!) I used a broom to clean out dead-space under a kitchen counter....eeeeeeuuuwwww. What I found would scare the mouse that once inhabited that area! I actually did some dreaded sweating today..by filling up a recycling container just with plastics and metal stuff. (years of stuffing stuff under the counter!)
Again, thank you Dear Friends...

Hey, I am so sorry that you are having these problems. Get the chewable baby aspirin, they are easy to take and they taste good. I too am off the coumidin, YEAH, and am on the baby stuff. I take generic stuff too for my tummy, and I think I got it at Costco also.
Take care you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Now why didn't I think of that!!?? lol I've been told to carry some in my purse for emergencies...seen it in articles also. When you chew the BA, do yo take a protectant also? I was given BA in the ER along with the omeprasole.
Hummmmmmmmm..I wonder if a milk shake subs for a Prolosec
.....just sayin......lol
I hope today finds you being comfy and cool. (((Diane)))

Sorry to hear that you are going to tough times Kim, but rest assure that everything will work out for the best. My guess is that after the doctor figures out the best course of action you will be back to "sweating" again. You can still use your 24hrs memebership, just use the threadmill and you will be good. The good news is that you made the right move and went to the E.R. on time, the next thing is just to follow doctor's orders. Yesteray was my 2 months out anniversary, am so excited with the process, so far so good but you never know what lies ahead.
Hugs
